Walter F. Johnson, III - Oil & Gas Attorney
A native of Mansfield, Louisiana, Mr. Johnson is a Shreveport attorney with over 30 years experience in oil and gas and property law. Walter is a landowner himself and has represented many landowners over his career. He has a keen sense of the "reasonable balance" that protects the Landowner, yet permits the oil company to drill a well.
Walter's desire is to see Landowners (country and city) prosper and get what they deserve for development of their minerals.
Walter has a B. S. from Louisiana Polytechnic Institute ('69) in Business and a Juris Doctor ('75) from Louisiana State University Law School. He is a member of the Louisiana and Shreveport Bar Associations. He served as President of the Ark-La-Tex Tax Institute. He served Honorably as an officer in the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. Walter is the father of four children, one of whom is the Web designer for the Haynesville Shale Landowners site. He and his wife, Sissy (formerly Sissy Waller), are active in their church, Christian Center of Shreveport.

Mandy Metoyer - HSLA President
Mandy is a wife and mother of 3. An interactive mom, Mandy homeschools her children and contributes to the HSLA Social Networking site in addition to phone support. Mandy is currently serving as the Nursery Director at her church and participates in all HSLA Citizens Information Meetings where she can be found answering questions from local landowners.
A graduate of Louisiana State University-Shreveport (1993), Mandy has served as a Social Service Director (1993-1996) and additionally has training as a Licensed Massage Therapist (1996) where she worked with patients suffering from chronic pain. Since then she has focused on her family, education and her experiences with small business. Mandy loves life and actively works with HSLA so that local landowners are protected and can achieve the highest potential for negotiation of their land as related to oil and gas discovery and commercial production.
Brenda O'Brock - HSLA COO
Brenda Burns O'Brock is married to local businessman and musician, James P. O'Brock. Jim and Brenda started O'Brock Repair and Maintenance, Inc. over 27 years ago. They have two grown sons who reside in Shreveport. Kenneth O'Brock is a realtor with Realty Executives and Barret O'Brock is a student at LSUS.
Brenda is an avid networker and volunteers her time in her community and church. She is on the board of the Red River Marine Institute, a school for adjudicated students from four local parishes and is a member of Stand in the Gap (a grassroots organization for better government). Her ability to network has brought success in her surrounding community in many ways. On June 10, 1991, she received the Outstanding Achievement Award, for promoting and accomplishing the passage of a $2.5 million Bond Issue for a new health unit in Caddo Parish. Brenda headed this Advocacy Committee and also co-founded the Cross Lake Patrol Support Group for local officers who patrol Cross Lake.
She currently serves on the Finance Committee for John Milkovich for Congress. The O'Brocks are members of River Valley Church in Bossier.
