A word about fees -
A small percentage of your lease bonus is paid at the time your lease is signed, or you may elect to pay a smaller percentage of your royalty to be paid to the organization plus a small overriding royalty (see the Association Handbook for complete details). The group then proceeds to handle the negotiation and signing of the lease and handles the transfer of the lease to the Oil and Gas companies in exchange for the bonus check. The Lease is recorded by the Oil and Gas company who buys it and your Royalty is paid directly to you for as long as production lasts. On other legal issues, such as surface usage, our group will assist you to be sure the Landowner/Member is treated fairly and paid promptly for all damages as specified in the Lease. Litigation expenses are handled privately, however, our association will assist you in acquiring experts in this process if needed.
